It's cheap and cheerful
It does what I wanted, which is play back vinyl, cassette tapes and CDs, and FM radio, all of which it does perfectly adequately. I do not claim to have sophisticated musical taste but it sounds just as good as the much more expensive hifi system it has replaced
Some respondents have complained about the volume being limited but unless you actually enjoy headaches and ringing ears it loud enough, even at less than max power.
I have not yet tried the recording function as I don't possess an MP3 player and don't have any plans to get one. I'm happy to listen to music in one place when I can be bothered.

Good goods
As expected from Marklin this is flawless precision engineering but seems rather expensive compared with the Japanese equivalent from Rohukan.
Even the.packaging looks as though it is unnecessarily expensive.
That said I knew what I was letting myself in for.
