Disappointed with quality and operation.

Poor quality product. I had a previous version which lasted me 15 years and was fantastic. This replacement version is terrible in comparison. Feels like the plastic might break in your hand and takes a lot longer to remove the lid from a can.

Faster than expected

Very pleased with this purchase. First time I have used a Windows Laptop with a SSD. It boots up so much faster now. Worth it just for that. Transferring large files seems about 4 times faster than before. My Laptop is silent now apart from when the cooling fan kicks in which is less frequent due to cooler operation (no moving parts other than the cooling fan). I cloned my old hard drive to the new SSD using Norton Ghost software. I then formatted the old drive and bought a caddy for it which fits inside the laptop where the DVD drive was. I never use CDs or DVDs anymore so it's great to have the two hard drives instead. I keep my data encrypted on the second (Old) hard drive. Last but not least, I messed up when I ordered. Didn't notice it would be coming from Hong Kong to the UK. Expecting to have to wait months, it arrived less than a week later.
