5" reverse monitor
I decided to go for the 5" monitor over the 4.3 I already have for the same reason I went up a size on my Sat Nav screen and that was a big success ...... If you need to buy a screen yes this is a good size if your upgrading like me.... I'm not so sure I made such a big gain if any.. But it's a decent good screen I got and have no complaints per say it just wasn't that big a gain over what I already had..........

you could do a lot worse than a TZ Panasonic Lumix
4 of 4 found this helpful An extremly good high end snappy compact camera if a little pricey new... Picture quality is very good if you keep the ISO maximum to 400...Although ISO 800 is acceptable ... I bought two TZ5 lumix, refurbished and used.. My first one I gave to my father as he took a shine to its large screen and once setup for him just press the button, it's how he likes to take his photo's .. he wants to just point and shoot and get good print of what he saw (He's 86)... I find it a little harder to take photo's in a way I like, as Many features I use are hidden in menus, but then its not DSLR and is way better than many compacts and it does have a quick menu...I like it for it's robustness, picture quality and the fact that if I let it do its own thing when I take it out my pocket and snap that photo quickly it does a very accepable job...I tour a lot through the year on my motorcycle and the TZ5 fits the bill for those nutty one off madness moments or when you stop and dont need or want the hassle of digging out, or setting up my Nikon DSLR or even having to get off the bike and remove my helmet every 100 mtrs... but cameras are like bikes, ONE is never enough, you need a couple to cover your bases....But I do expect a level of picture quality even from my compact and the leica lens does very well on the lumix ........
If you want a good zoom, easy ish set up , or to just let the camera do it all, not to worried about a little extra weight or being the slimmest compact, you could do a lot worse than a TZ Panasonic Lumix....
Though for me it was a last years TZ model, a refurbished and a good used that was the way to go.

Handy single monitoring .... Practical price
This is the second one of these I've bought one keeps an eye on outside the other keeps an eye on the inside of house.... I'm sure I could have bought cheaper but was impressive enough to buy a second even at the greater price..... I use the one inside as Security (baby monitor) for my parents who are now over 90 years.... I chose this because I'm able to monitor and has a speaker to call them to wave OK etc. Plus a microphone for them to answer. Although I'm not too sure how accurate as it's mounted high up I can also keep track of temperature in their main living area.
Only problem I have is it can be slow to log in at times and often I've had to reboot system....... So camera does what it's meant too.... software could do with improvement.....
I don't want/need a full blown monitoring system this is very handy
