JANIS JOPLIN??? WHO???
This is a PRIMO recording by one of the hottest sounding, most talented female R & B singers ever recorded. This is the female half of the Delaney & Bonnie duo that fronted the Friends, which included Leon Russell, Rita Coolidge, Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, Jim Gordon, Jim Keltner, Bobby Keyes & Jim Price. Talk about some talented Friends! Oh yeah...this band also attracted the likes of Jerry McGee, Dave Mason, George Harrison & Eric Clapton into their ranks on occasion.
This solo album by Bonnie Bramlett also features musicians that are solo artists in their own right. Just read the credits to see names like Dobie Gray, Mickey Thomas, Greg Allman, Dickie Betts. Besides loaning their support as players, Allman & Betts also sing with Bonnie.
This recording is, for the most part, covers of songs recorded before. Bonnie infuses every performance with the feeling & white hot soul that she is famous for. This woman can only do it that way; No holds barred, take no prisoners.
If you are looking for a killer peice of music that satisfies on every level. If you are a big fan of the real deal, R & B SOUL! MUSIC...it doesn't get any better than this.

Rock n' Roll Warrior
Levon Helm has seen it all & done it all. The scope of this man's knowledge & experience in music is amazing.
He is a real, honest, soulful musician whose integrity is without question.
A multi-instrumentalist & a distinctive one of a kind vocalist. Check out any of his fine solo recordings or any of the Band's fine albums & you will hear what I am talking about.
Gone too soon, sorely missed, God bless him.

A Massage Therapist's Guide to Pathology
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great text book for the massage therapist, irregardless of their skill level, whether a novice or a veteran. I consider it a "must have" text. I have been teaching in the field for over 10 years.
What I appreciate about this book is that each chapter is dedicated to individual systems of the body. Each chapter starts with a brief review of each system. These reviews are contained in approximately 3 to 4 pages. Then we delve into the pathologic conditions pertaining to the individual systems. An outline is provided prior to this. In addition to a very informative text on each condition, a thumbnail review is presented in the margins outlining the bare essentials of each pathological condition.
The artwork is first rate, as are the photographs. In the latest edition, we are presented with a table that indicates what type of massage disciplines/modalities are appropriate for each pathologic condition; whether a particular modality is indicated or contraindicated. This is invaluble.
I can't find any flaws with this book. I always highly recommend this book to my students who are seeking to increase their knowledge of systemic pathological conditions as they pertain to treatment in the course of applied massage therapy.
