Asus Green DVD - Writer DRW-24D5MT
1 of 1 found this helpful I have bought a number of DVD drives over the years, but the extra quality brought by the Asus brand was apparent the moment I looked at the box. No plain brown cardboard here, with plenty of informative details about the product, it's green credentials and it's readiness for windows 10. Inside the player was well protected with fitted soft foam end caps whilst the unit itself was sealed in an Asus branded bag.
Fitting and wiring was standard for its type.
First job it needed to do was install an operating system from disc, and it performed it flawlessly with nothing more than a steady hum.
Exceptional value for money for such an established brand.

Pluscom Gamer Illuminated USB Keyboard
2 of 2 found this helpful The quality of the keyboard really reflects it's low price. The keyboard action is clunky a little sticky and lacks positive feel. It is of the illuminated variety and this seems to compose of see-through keys with a series of LED's behind. There is no uniformity to this backlight with some areas of the keyboard being brighter than others. colours can be selected and the brightness can be adjusted - for what reason I do not know - for even on its brightest setting- it is not bright enough. Turn it off and its impossible to read any of the keys whatsoever even in bright daylight. So it HAS to be turned up full negating the dimming feature totally.
My advice - spend the same money on a 'standard' non-illuminated keyboard. Chance are the quality and functionality would be hard-pressed to be worse. It is essentially 'mutton dressed as lamb' advertised as more than it is and designed to shift as many units as possible to buyers lured in by the 'Gamer' tag.
