For Kirby Tradition, Legend 1, Legend 2 Vacuum Cleaner Motor Carbon Brushes

Carbon Brushes would not fit because they were too large.

The label on the package clearly stated the brushes were replacement for a Kirby Tradition Legend 2 vacuum cleaner. When I tried to put them in the brush holders it was found they were to big. I am an electrical engineer so decided to reduce the size of the carbon brushes until they would freely go into the brush holders. Then I discovered the diameter of the springs around the flexible terminal wire were too big to go into the holder. This problem was solved by taking the springs off the old brushes and fitting them to the new brushes. The vacuum cleaner is now working. Regards Norman Blackford
