Good add-on for old PCs

My old PC came with 2 USB 1.1 ports (1999 Micron). The old ports on the motherboard are crapping out. This card replaces those and let's me get it up to USB 2.0. I'm using it with a wireless Logitech mouse dongle and various USB sticks for file transfer and it works great. No problems running under Debian Linux, I'm sure any WIndows version from 2000 up will work fine.

Awesome Class D Head

Great preamp for double bass

I recently switched from magnetic to piezo on my doublebass. I frankly liked my magenetic pickup, but I am playing with a bow more now, and the magnetic got in the way. I paired this preamp with a very basic pickup from Northern Luthier and was pleasantly surprised. I knew I could not go on just plugging a piezo into a bass amp, the sound was harsh an unmanageable on stage. It took some dialing in, but now I have a very smooth and manageable tone, and the sound guy loves the XLR direct out. Recommended!
