An inexpensive solution prevents decoupling in N scale
This inexpensive coupler from Fox Valley provides a good solution to the uncoupling issues seen with Rapido coupolers. And it mates with Microtrains magnetnc style couplers. Fairly easy to install. Remove the Rapido coupler by twisting it from the socket (don't lose the spring!). Compress the spring and twist the new coupler in. Make sure the knuckle faces the right. way,
The only disadvantage is that you cannot automatically couple and decouple rolling stock equipped with these couplers. To couple, align the couplers one over the over and press down. To decouple, lift up and separate. great if you haev long trains you never need to change. Not so great if you work in the freight yard with switchers making consists
