Nice little DSLR for the money
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased this camera for my brother who wanted an entry level DSLR. I have three Nikons which I like a lot. However, I found a great deal on this Pentax and was presently surprised at how well it handled and worked. I knew that Pentax makes a quality camera too, but for an entry level camera it was pretty well equiped. I shot with it for a couple of days and really enjoyed it's performance and handling. I think for someone starting out or even advanced in digital photography, you can't go wrong with this camera. The reviews by a couple of top magazines place the Nikon, Canon and Pentax nearly tied. One camera would do one thing better than the other in one area and not in another. They considered it nearly a draw. So then it comes to personal preference.
