Easier to work with than FR4
It's a lot easier on tooling than FR4, much easier to cut and drill, but still pretty strong. The fact its white also makes it more suitable for ptotoyping lighting products. Cna be hard to get hold of, as FR4 is everywhere, but for the rare occassions one rolls their own boards, this stuff is great.

Does the job
What can I say - its a light bulb? Fitted in my oven, so I can finally see my pizza. Says its rated for 300C and has been going strong for over a week so I can only assume that spec is correct. It's kind of old technology but is still vital for ovens.

Relaible programmer for older AVRs
Handy reliable replacement for AVR programmers, without the potential hassles of driver conflicts.
The AVR ISP MKII can have driver issues on windows 7/10, that doesn't always work with certain versions of AVRDUDE or Atmel studio. Because the AVRISP CH programmer uses a USB-serial bridge, the host PC see's it as a com port, and CH340 drivers are pretty stable and usually install automatically without prompting. This means that it works with all versions of AVRDUDE and AVR studio, and I've used several for on-site work and never had an issue.
The plastic case can be somewhat fragile, but that goes for the original and official programmers too.
It just "works" without having to faff about.
