Goov value for what it is
The HD120 has Corsair's same high standard for build quality, the same solid feel of the LL and QL series. Being marketed as the "function over flashiness" model from Corsair's lineup, I find the bright and flashy RGB style to be overwhelming and obtrusive, compared to the (dual loop) smooth diffuse style of the LL series. Of course you can always just turn off the lights through Corsair's iCUE software, but at the end of the day, if what you really care about is performance and efficiency, a model from Noctua or Coolermaster is probably your best bet. On the other hand, if cooling isn't a problem and RGB is your goal, it would be more worthwhile to go for Corsair's LL or QL variant. The HD120 falls somewhere in the middle. If you really like the Corsair brand, but need the small edge of performance over the LL series, and you don't mind the RGB aesthetic, this is the fan for you.

The best RGB with some of the best performing case fans out there.
Love the RGB, massive amount of customization. Fans themselves are on the quiet side and have done a great job keeping my system cool.
