great tool
Lets start out by saying I'm a flooring contractor and I've been using portable cable sheet sanders and various other models such as the paint remover sander for 30 years I now own about 10 sheet sanders which we use on every job almost every week for hours at a time sometimes depending on the job. I've been rebuilding them this whole time also which I usually do all my tools . I can compare it to the Milwaukee which is another very good sheet sander. The difference between the two is the Porta cable is a smoother running sander , not as aggressive as the Milwaukee . Using it for hours it doesn't make you hands tingle as much as the Milwaukee . After using a tool for long periods of time we need a tool with as much comfort as possible. Like most tools they need maintenance and that means blowing your tools out of dust after every use is the best recommendation for that sander to perform like a champ . The parts that will go most are bearings , cords and sleave will crack or split , brushes and of course the pads mostly wear out. Oh while we are on pads , a little trick , kind of , with a little know how of a drill you can make the Milwaukee pad fit a portable Cable . I did it very easily . Just put the two side by side and figure it out........... Steve
