Better than original
The original part was made of plastic, this part is aluminium (I think) and works well, but time will tell.
Note to would be users, the leadscrew size on my caravan is 16mm on the rear steadies and 20mm on the front. Don't do as I did and measure the rear and assume it is the same. I now have a spare nut for when a rear steady goes.

Ideal for classic cars
The oil is correct for my 1979 engine. I keeps excellent oil pressure and stays remarkably clean.

Stong and confortable
Good construction, a good compromise between strength and weight. Easy and quick to erect if you have strong hands. My wife could not do it as the end poles need some serious pulling power to get them into place. Once up it is stable and with a full sized single bed mattress topper it is comfortable. Note the dimensions carefully. I bought this before I decided on a tent as the bed is 6ft 6ins long and 2ft 6ins wide and 2ft high and will not fit in the normal space taken up by an airbed. In the end I bought a 4 man tent and can just squeeze in 2 of these beds.
However it will be useful as home for the occasional overnight guest.
