Compact and Powerful
Hi everyone..
There didn't seem to be many reviews about the TvOne 1T-VS-626 about so I thought I would write a review. First of all the unit does a great job of re-scaling and de-interlacing which I guess is why you would want to buy the unit in the first place. The menu is easily accessed by a simple press of the appropriate button on the unit. It has several options which I found useful, particularly the sharpness and saturation - as these sometimes need a slight adjustment. I also found being able to adjust the amount of deep colour really useful as this is fixed on some cheaper alternatives. I personally found the 10-bit setting to be the best. I bought the 1T-VS-626 mostly to de-interlace and the 3D-Motion adaptive de-interlacer is great at retaining plenty of detail at 1080p@50Hz. From that you can gather I am from the UK which is where I get to the bad part of the review. Primarily this unit is designed (as many are) for the U.S.A. market, and so the power adaptor came as a flat 2 pin plug with the other end of the cable fitting into the device. I had a lot of trouble getting the unit to work at all in the first instance, as when I simply plugged the flat 2 pin plug into a 3 pin UK adaptor the red LED on the unit simply flashed and there was no picture output. I solved this by fitting a lead with the right fitting at the unit end into a USB plug with 5v 2A output, and it began to function successfully. This can be tricky to get right but it can be done albeit at the cost of an extra £12. The next bad thing with this device is that the output from the unit tends to drop out easily unless you do EXACTLY as stated in the manual - which is to first power up the 1T-VS-626, then switch on your HDMI source, then your T.V. otherwise it will continually drop the output for a second or 2 then carry on and then it will happen again which I found really annoying as you can't even change the channel you are watching without having to go through this power up sequence each time. Having said that once it's sorted the output is excellent. So all in all a great unit especially if you can pick one up cheaply - It's RRP is a bit expensive for my liking and the output (although picky in terms of stability) is also excellent.

An Outstanding Cable from QED!
I have used a few QED products in my time, and always found QED cables to provide a lovely transparent sound with Bass and Treble represented equally. The QED Reference RCA cable was incredibly clear and seemed to remove muffle in the background of music so that you can actually hear the whole sound in the track, which is unlike most other cables. If you can't afford the Reference level of cable, I would also recommend the QED Performance 40i which has probably 75% of the performance for half the price. The QED Reference is something else though, an outstanding product - Thoroughly recommended if you really enjoy your sound!!

Great Indoor T.V. Aerial!
I bought the 50 Mile radius specification..
When I first received the item, I was VERY surprised at how thin it was - the pictures of the device on eBay don't really capture this. It is only about 3mm thick and could easily be stuck on a wall or window - and it's likely it would not come unstuck for once. It has been manufactured so thinly this then means in turn, it is also very light. I now think a lot of other larger aerials are probably oversized comparatively. To test it, I plugged it in to my Humax HD receiver, and was surprised yet again - The performance was excellent! The picture this aerial produces is very clear, and if placed near a window as recommended, it also seems to maintain a very stable T.V. signal.
In summary, this product is an absolute bargain!! 10/10 from me..
