A Game Changer for the Fighting Genre

Killer Instinct brought a whole new level of production value and gameplay to the fighting genre. It sits somewhere between the ultra cartoony Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat as far as visuals go. It also brought a very unique combo system never seen before in other fighters. On top of all that, the music and visuals were excellent for the time. The N64 version does a good job recreating what made the arcade version so good.
