Almost a Homerun.
2 of 3 found this helpful This is almost the Greatest set to get If your a fan of the Lord of the Rings Films.
I say Almost because back when this Trilogy came out on DVD they had a great set that included BOTH the THEATRICAL and EXTENDED versions.
If this BLURAY set had both like the Special Edition DVD set had then it would be perfect...
All the extra dvds in this set are great and have captivating material, but they could have upgraded them to BLURAY AS WELL.
But that part does not bother me.
What will bother me is in 5 years when they Might come out with a set that has both THEATRICAL AND EXTENDED versions in one set...that will bother me ...
But who can wait 5 years right? This is absolutely the best your going to get for the forseeable future.

They should Rerelease this With OMEN IV and have a real bluray case

Positives: The first 3 movies are excellent and show the progression of the Antichrist called Damien from childhood to Adult.
Negatives: To note the Packaging for this set is Horrible. It is made of cheap cardboard. They could have spent the money to put this in a better case.
Other things to note...The 4th movie in this Set (OMEN 666) is not a Sequel...It is actually a modern remake of the original film...I actually feel bad for the child actor in this remake as he was given a very tough job In trying to upstage the Amazing performance of the boy in the original film. I liked the movie for its effort but Remakes are either Better than the original or suffer from a lackluster experience and unfortunately this remake was the latter.
ONE LAST NOTE FOR FANS: There actually was a 4th official movie. This 3rd sequel was a made for T.V. special. It is entitled Omen IV and tells the story of Damien being reborn as a little girl. It had a DVD release so if you want to See the continuation of the OFFICIAL story, seek out a copy.

I bought this as I saw it in the theater and was touched by the story. I won't ruin it for you but this is a great add to your dvd collection even if your not a sci fi fan.
