Doctor Who's greatest era
Having seen series 11 and been delighted by it, the opening titles, the latest Doctor, the companions, the stories, I hoped that series 12 would continue where series 11 left off. It did better than that and the only difference was that series 12 had two multi-part stories, whereas series 11 was all stand alone stories. It kicks off with the epic 'Spyfall' two part story, which is brilliant and has everything. It is thrilling, suspenseful, with surprises and much time travel to various locations, not to mention and old enemy of the Doctor's returning. It gets the series off to a terrific start and the stories that follow are equally gripping and keep the bar high.
I would name a favourite episode, but I can't, because, I'm glad to say, I really like them all. One episode, 'Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror' also, like in series 11, taught me something. It has a great story and terrific monsters. One other episode late in the series does also get under my skin and is a terrific story, 'Can You Hear Me?'. The series ends on a two part story, 'Ascension of the Cybermen' and 'The Timeless Children', and it is a real cracker. I loved this series and I Jodie Whittaker is wonderful as the doctor, playing the part with fun and enthusiasm. For me, this is the greatest era of Doctor Who since the revival and it is also making me want to look at series 13. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks for renewing my interest, Jodie, please stay.

Sony- reliable as ever
My W395 phone (chrome finish) unfortunately went totally nuts, I don't even know how long I had it for, but needed a replacement quickly and I was not going to buy a new one, because I wanted the same one again. Finding this one was good enough and I got it for a much more reasonable price. The only thing is I am going to have to get used to it starting up on Orange logo, since that's obviously its original network, unlocked or not, I am on O2, but for a far cheaper price, that's just being picky. It's the same with the menu, which is slightly different. At least this replacement works!
Generally, a decent mobile, which didn't always behave itself and had technical tantrums now and then, but no one ever said that technology is perfect.
Hopefully this will last a little longer, but if I do get a new phone at some point, it will still be the W395, unless of course, they discontinue the darn thing!!

Brilliant, atmospheric mystery thriller
I first saw Road Games on television long ago, when it was shown one night, and I really loved it. I enjoyed its atmosphere, its sense of adventure, even though the story was dark and it was a bit of a nightmare for the main character, so perhaps I should say its sense of mystery.
Stacy Keach is brilliant as the overworked truck driver, and it's also a fascinating look at the world of long distance truck driving. When I found it years later on blu ray, I had to get it, but I wanted it on dvd too, as an alternative.
It is one of my favourite Australian movies, in fact, it is my second favourite Australian movie after Dead Calm.
I would highly recommend this movie for anyone, who loves mysteries, road dramas and thrillers and anything of that kind. It is thrilling, entertaining and occasionally has laughs. Of course, I am bias. One of Australia's best.
