No problem with drivers for different OSes. Microsoft has their drivers embedded. Intel have a good suppot on their website too.

Outstanding Quality Optical Cable
This cable does the job remarkably well. I replaced analogue connection to my receiver with this cable, and the difference was huge. Maybe this is because the receiver has a better DAC than my computer, but anyhow, the quality of this cable is outstanding. Highly recommended.
