Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 - Amazing

I did think about purchasing the FX-55 (the one on the advert) but all that differs features wise from that model to this, is that the FX-55 has face recognition ability.
Bearing in mind that all of the camera website reviews rate this face recognition facility as a "useless gimmick" and that the FX-55 is only 8mp, it seemed sensible to go for the FX-100 and its 12mp sensor.
The results are fantastic. I previously had a Canon Ixus 420 (4.2mp) which produced what I thought were great looking photos, that was until I compared them to the FX-100. The colours are more intense, the quality and clarity of the pictures is better and it camera is a joy to use.
Because it's 12mp the 3x zoom is more than adequate as you can crop photos you take and still have a full screen pic.
I particularly like the simple photo mode. The camera has many different settings which produce better results if you have the time to set up a photo but it also has a simple mode which is great for pointing and clicking. I find this particularly useful when the kids want to take a picture!
I am so happy I chose this model, for the money is absolutely excellent!

Simply the best
0 of 1 found this helpful What can I say? This is one of the most memorable films of my life! It had been so many years since I saw it on the telly; I was worried that it may not be so "magical" as I remembered. Yeah it full of 80's cheese; bad jokes, clothes and hairstyles, but it still delivers the same feelings as when I saw it all those years ago. My kids (age 9 & 12) loved it just as I did when I was their age (a great relief as I made them watch weird science and they hated it). This is simply a must in ANYONE'S DVD collection, young or old it doesn't matter, my Mum & Dad have borrowed it to watch again!
