real precision decent workble length
It will cut ... it struggled with the heat affected zone of a weld (haze) but so di a TCT and a high carbon forged cutter .
Love the precision of it as it means once it's set to cutting height in the QCTP tool holder all I have to do is sharpen & advance the cutting edge through the tool holder unlike some of the high carbon cutters which would require a complete tool tip height reset .
I sharpen both ends to a different but simple profile so I can easily slacken the grub screws and rotate the cutter to the other end and still be dead on the center height .

At last , a time clock that woks for watering hanging baskets , bonsai benches and the veg & flower gardens
Reliable long , service life , simple to use , numerous different timings from once a day through to once a week .
Powered by readily obtainable C cell batteries . A good set of quality batteries will last about 9 months .
Taking the batteries out before first frost helps keep the clock in tiptop condition .
I've been using a set of five of these clocks every year for the last 11 years . Yes folks they do eventually die , because I engrave my name post code & the date put into use I can tell you none hve failed in under four years .. The oldest is nine years old .
I use one of our clocks for summer every one is set for 2 min twice a day on adjustable spray mist watering heads to .... six hanging baskets on the same half inch supply as 14 flowering geranium tubs . One to water 120 potted bonsai trees with 24 adjustable spray heads , one to water up to 23 adjustable misting heads in the glass house ,one to spray mist with adjustable heads some 250 square feet of veg bed & one to spray mist just over 90 square feet sq ft of flower beds .
They use very little water at 2x2 min per 24 hours when the heads are turned to a low useful misting spray , I'd guess 20 or so litres per day putting the water in exactly the right spot .. I just can't praise them enough .
Previous to discovering these Hozelock clocks and the adjustable micro spray heads I'd spent hundreds of pounds trying to get something that actually worked well on mains supply pressure & not blow the water lines apart or leak and kill the time clock .

Good quality for the price , very good quality .
My caliper is now 2 years or so old gets used several times a week even more in summer .
It's etched accurately & nothing slops about ..checked it with M &W test pieces at 1 & 2 " , 20 & 50 mm . So pleased at that ....as good calipers tend to be very expensive .
Found the edges were very square and uncomfortable to hold ., it felt a bit gritty & catching because of the sharp edges . So I lightly rubbed them all a couple of times with a fine wet & dry , washed it off several times in soapy hot water then rinsed & dried it & WD 40 lubricated it .. jobs a good'un
Drilled a 6 mm hole in the head to allow me to hang it up to the side of my lathe out of harms way when not being used .. it drills well with a sharpened HSS twist drill .
Beware that if you are grinding the microscopic dust generated can land on the calliper and cause it to get gritty ..if you're going to grind stuff take it down and put it in a drawer till the grinding dust settles & gets vacuumed up . It benefits from a bi monthly wd40 clean & re-lube .
