Seiko ER8100
Having managed to spill water on (and ruin) my Seiko ER8000, I thought an "upgrade" to the ER8100 was in order. Although this is a very good piece of kit, I did prefer my old m/c as when a name, word, or abbreviation was typed in I could navigate between search areas without having to re-type. The ER8100 will only "jump" to the dictionary, all other searches require a fresh input.

Plastic tooth picks.
Product a bit flimsy, but fit for purpose. Would recommend.

Janome J3-J24 (reviewed by a complete novice)
As the title suggests, I am a complete novice to sewing. My mother and my wife catered to all my sewing needs. However, since they are now both departed, I have had to "do it myself".
Searching the internet for information re: introduction to sewing, I was bombarded with specifications of many different machines.
I spent quite a lot of time assessing various pros and cons, prices and reviews and finally settled on the Janome J3-J24... and I'm so glad I did!
The machine has as many varieties of stitch that I will ever want and is simplicity itself to use (the automatic needle threader is a godsend!).
I have done several little sewing repair jobs and each one is better than the last.
As I become more used to the machine my projects have become more complicated, but still the machine is proving easy to use.
I'm not sure how a seasoned sewer would review this machine, but it's OK by me!
