TMNT: Draft One
2 of 3 found this helpful I thought that TMNT 4 for the Super NES was an original game, but as it turns out, this game came out first, and it's obvious that a lot of the material from TMNT 4 was pulled from this game. With that said, TMNT 4 is a great game, and so is this one. Great sound, great game play, and fun bosses and levels.
However, this game chooses to have five long levels instead of 10 short ones, and it isn't a good thing. You get bored of the similar enemies and backgrounds a lot quicker that way, and there are a lot less bosses, too. And one of the levels is a level where you play all of the bosses again, so there are really only four original levels.
No doubt, if all you have is a Genesis, you've definitely picked a winner if you buy this game. But turtles games definitely get a lot better than this if you've got an NES or a SNES. TMNT 3 for the NES is a lot more fun, and TMNT 4 for the Super NES is in almost every respect simply a more polished version of this game. Try them out, too!

Good reproduction copy. Plays with no issues and looks pretty authentic even though I know it's not. Nice that the manual was printed smaller than OEM to fit into the DVD case, too.
