A novel which gives a clear historical insight of the Lakotah nation.
I first read this book in 1981 having borrowed the book from my local library. It was such an excellent read I immediately re-read it over a gain. So over a full thirty five years on and having recently viewed the film "The Reverent," concerning the early frontiersmen. I decided to re-read this excellent novel, which is based on historical Lakotah tribal records. The novel gives an account of the years leading up to the Lakotah nation's first encounters with the white frontiersmen of the early 1820's.
