They are staples!
They look like staples, they are packed in a box labelled staples and hopefully they act like staples

Good but not the optimal solution
These are a good temporary fix for slipping spectacles but they do need to be fairly regularly replaced and of course they narrow the bridge on the glasses. Opticians use them, but with acetate frames perhaps the better solution is to get the optician to narrow the bridge by applying heat to push the frames together at the bridge. Not ideal, but a solution of sorts. The major problem with any specs is that grease on the nose as the day goes on will cause them to slip unless you have the kind of nose which prevents this. I have a slim bridge which doesn't!
