Good quality budget brushes
3 of 3 found this helpful Was originally looking for cheap disposable brushes, but those tend to be poor quality, and the bristles fall out as soon as you start to use them, and get all over whatever you're trying to paint. Not good. These are a bit more expensive, but they are a whole different league in terms of quality - and you're still paying less than a pound a brush. These economy brushes from a well-known maker represent very good value for money, so why give yourself the hassle (and the environmental issues) of cheapo, fall-apart disposables? Very happy with this purchase - would recommend.

Cracking Projector
3 of 3 found this helpful Did a fair bit of research before buying one of these, and I haven't been disappointed.
Home projectors have come on leaps and bounds in the past 10-15 years, and there are other very good 1080p projectors in this general price range, like the Viewsonics and the Optomas. But where the W1070+ scores for me is:
* Relatively low fan noise
* Minimal "rainbow effect". The W1070+ has a 6-segment, 6x-speed colour wheel to minimise rainbowing - and as someone who's experienced this fairly strongly in the past, I've hardly noticed it on the W1070+, even watching high contrast black-&-white content, which would often set me off in the past
* Excellent all-round picture quality. Even though some other manufacturers claim significantly higher contrast figures on paper, in real-world performance the W1070+ really cuts it
The only significant issue I have heard of with them is that a minority of W1070 / W1070+ owners report problems with their machines going into auto shutdown over-frequently, with a lamp/overheating warning. That's why I chose to buy a used one on eBay, so I could check with the original owner that this particular unit wasn't affected by the problem. ( I don't think any of the sellers I contacted had experienced the issue, so it may not be too widespread...)
For those wondering the difference between the W1070 and the W1070+, the plus model has 2200 lumens as opposed to 2000, but also a couple of decibels less fan noise. Also the plus provides more interfacing opportunities to display images from phones. Some earlier models of the W1070 don't have a backlit remote - which can be annoying in a darkened room. And last but not least, the plus is said to have a comparable but slightly better picture quality - although I can't vouch for this personally, as I've never viewed a W1070.
Overall this is a great projector, which has been at the top to the tree in its price range for several years now - so other than making sure to ask whether the machine has had any auto-shutdown problems ( and of course asking the usual projector stuff - any dust-blotches on the projected image, how much time is left on the lamp etc ) I would say buy 2nd-hand with confidence.

Good bed wedge : Packaging hard to open and not eco-friendly
4 of 6 found this helpful Good bed wedge. Firm yet comfortable, and shallow-sloped enough to be able to sleep on, where I've had problems with steeper wedges.
Unfortunately, the heavy-duty platic and webbing "carry-case" which it comes in was almost impossible to remove it from, and I have reasonably strong hands. The wedge was rolled into it so tightly I had to put my foot in the straps to gain leverage, resulting in both straps ripping off, while the wedge didn't budge. It would have been impossible to get it back in the case anyway. So for people concerned about overpackaging, sustainability and the environment, not such a good choice. With more eco friendly packaging it would have been four or five stars.
