Nokia 6310i
I needed a reliable phone for business. Didn't need camera, mp3, etc. Read numerous reviews of this phone, all positive; even tho' its 8 yr old technology!
I now concur with all the reviewers. Battery life, exceptional, reception, second to none. Keypad very positive feel to it. You can record calls in progress at the touch of a button, or use this facility to recors 2 minute memos! How cool is that? My personal phone is a Nokia 3510i, better screen display, it has colour! However, I now realis how rubbery the keys feel. Didn't notice before,,,,,,,,,had a ZX Spectrum you see. Now they keypad has that positive feel I associate with the much better early p.c. the Oric.
There are some silly prices out there for this ancient phone, £108 on Amazon!!! you wha! However I got mine refurbed with a brand new cover for £32 delivered. I think its a bargain. Recently I had triec the flip phonrs and the slide. Decided I liked the feel of this good old candybar phone. Hope you find this helful. Cheers John

Marengo2's Review of the Marengo Myth!
As you might deduce from my email address, I am a keen student of all things Napoleonic! This is a very well researched and readable history of Napoleon's string of white horses. The first being named after his first major victory at the battle of Marengo; which also lends its name to the chicken dish the emperor was served on the evening of the victory. The myth is that there was only one Marengo, who survived, having been ridden by Boney at every battle over 17 years of the Napoleonic Wars?!
I highly recommend this great little book to all interested in anything Napoleonic.
Also see 'Traveller', the story of Robert E. Lee's favourite horse ridden throughout the Civil War. Written by the author of Watership Down and told by Traveller in his own words, and those of his friends, who carried other famous Reb generals!? I kid you not! You will be delighted. J. McKay

British Telecom Freestyle 750 - Cordless Phone
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought it to replace a cordless that had gone faulty. This was a refurbished item. The photos gave no indication of the massive size of the handsets! Enormous. Very suitable for the elderly and maybe children. In addition despite the fact I live in a bungalow the signel to the second phone was poor. Supposed to carry 30 metres! However, a full refund was given by B.T. without quibble.
