Whip it Fast, Whip it Good!
I'm not saying it works faster, but it sure seems so! My strawberries meet the whipped cream rapidly and deliciously. It works so well that I ordered, received, and have happily used its shorter sibling, the 14" version that's perfect for my favorite stainless steel bowl, which is taller and more narrow than the huge, wider one. I'm keeping both, as well as my balloon whisk and the 'freakishly-small' one - similar to the one Chef John occasionally mentions in Food Wishes on YouTube. That's where I first saw the unusual-looking Piano Whisk. The other whisks s will easily find good, new homes. Upgrade and reduce!

Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll-Ring - My Secret Advantage
1 of 1 found this helpful When I first used the older version of the Kensington Orbit Trackball (KOT), 0 +20 years ago -I was seeing my chiropractor for mouse-related repetitive stress. I had tried my coworker's Logitec (LTB). That was too big for my hand and did not help me as using it required me to hunch-up my fingers to operate it. So, it did not eliminate the stress or the pain running up to my shoulder. Being a lefty - i.e., semi-ambidextrous in order to use tools designed for the other 90% - I had already tried using the mouse and LTB in each handed-orientation, resulting in pain for both arms.
The Orbit provided almost immediate relief as I was now moving around the page using the middle part of my fingers rather than just the fingertips and a hunch-up hand. The rest of my arm now maintains a constant resting position. The addition of the scroll-ring is brilliant! In addition, the unit can sit in one spot and requires no real-estate to operate. (Goodbye mouse pad!)
Yes, there's a slight learning curve, but it comes with the advantage, in my opinion, of the fact that non-users are often put off by the KOT, so they tend to leave your document or drawing alone. Another issue is that after a good amount of use, finger-oils travel from the ball to the lighted sections of the cradle. I have a soft toothbrush that I use occasionally to sweep out the oil and dust that collect there. The ball pops out of the cradle quite easily, pushing from the hole in the bottom.
I'm sorry that inflation has increased the price. That's why I seriously considered reducing the rating by a star - I would surely have gone to 4-1/2 stars if that option existed. I grudgingly said it's a good value because the tool is truly excellent, and the previous buyer of this used KOT should not be penalized in any way for having had to pay the increased price.

Emergency Preparednessw
This is part of my emergency bag. If I need it, I can trust it, based on my research.
