Military-tough. Built to last.
4 of 4 found this helpful This is not a perfect tent. But no tent is. Waterproof? No tent is unless it is made from rubber. You have to treat the seams, then it becomes highly water resistant. Is it lightweight? Not as light as some tents, but it is TOUGH. The stakes and poles are designed for long life, making it a bit heavier. The lightweight tents will fail you half-way through a two-week camping trip. This one will not.
The ventilation system is awesome. You have two low mesh windows that will give great cross-ventilation. There are high vents at each end allowing heat to rise out and dissipate. I love the design.

No, this is not going to make the ground feel like your mattress at home. But it will provide some insulation, and keep the rock pebbles from digging into your back while you rest. A big improvement over what the military used when I was in.
Very lightweight. Perfect if you are backpack camping. There are better sleeping options if you are trucking in your gear, and weight is not a factor.
