4 Classic Albums for the price of 1
The great Thelonious Monk and his band laying down some great radical jazz. This cost me under £3 for four great albums.Awesome!

A modern classic
This particular Blu Ray was extremely reasonable at £3.49. It is one of the outstanding Films of the last twenty years, with Daniel Day Lewis giving a ground breaking performance as an early oil baron, who gradually lets his demons get the better of him. Not always comfortable viewing, but extremely powerful

DOCTOR AT LARGE - COMPLETE SERIES
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this series because I immensely enjoyed the series of "Doctor in the House" of which this is the follow up.
"Doctor at Large" has a high calibre of comic writers including members of "Monty Python" and "The Goodies", which makes it stronger and funnier to a modern audiance than many sit-coms of the time. The young doctors are portrayed with such vitality by the likes of Barry Evans, Geoffrey Davies and George Leyton with special mention of course to dear Barry Evans who does carry the show. They are backed with some very strong guest stars such as Arthur Lowe, Madeline Smith, Hattie Jacques, Roy Kinnear and Fulton Mackay.
This really is a mammoth series, some twenty nine eposides. Therefore it is obviously difficult for every single eposide to be a classic, in fact a few of them are quite weak, such as "Mr.Moon" which has an overly dozy performance by the usually excellent John Le Mesurier. But generally the series is excellent, and when it is funny, it is extremely funny. To a modern PC audiance the attitudes to the nurses at times is somewhat patronising, but this is mainly about the crazy lives and antics of these youthful, oversexed, beer-swilling young doctors.
4 stars, but only just misses 5 because of the weakness of some eposides.
