Bargain super-light pedals
It's hard to find road-specific SPD pedals for those of us that want to use just one cleat system on and off the road. These VP pedals are a steal if you can find them. This is my second pair and to date the first pair have been faultless. The bearings are as smooth as the day they arrived and the cleat fitting is tight and secure. Perfectly usable for racing and commuting. Don't hesitate.

OK but you can do better
The image stabilization system is excellent. Even more so on the 14x30 version. Build quality is suspect. My pair had a scratchy squeaky focus suggesting no lubrication. Optically they're ok but for the money you could get non-stabilized Zeiss binoculars which have such better optics. Only buy if image stabilization is a must.
