Jumanji DVD
1 of 1 found this helpful There are some films that made a big impact when I first watched them. Then I watch them again many years later and wonder what it was that I found so great. In the intervening years many things have changed, the outlook of the culture in which I live, cinematic sophistication (the special effects on the film Dam Busters were cutting edge for their time), and paticularly myself. So when I saw a copy of Jumanji on Ebay at a bargain price I bought it not knowing what my reaction would be watching it second time round. In fact it was just as enjoyable. Why? The sheer inventiveness of the story has survived the passing of time well despite its total improbability. The special effects may not be up with the Lord of the Rings, but are still good. It is just a fun film to watch.
