Ballet at its best!
Produced in a theatrical movie format, the supurb cast performances tell the stories through expression and movement that are often lost to the viewer in a standard stage production. The dancing is fluid and the plots flow freely without the usual over-use of primp and pose choreography that can often become tedious and distracting. The sets and costumes, patterned after the original sketches for their turn-of-the-nineteenth-century premieres are stunning, helping to bring you into the Fairy Tale worlds presented. I highly recommend this collection. Even if you are not ordinarily a ballet fan, you will find this collection of classic tales engaging and entertaining. Bon Appetit!
