Logitech - Craft Wireless Keyboard - Dark gray and aluminum
12 Dec, 2017
All the ✓'s, works wirelessly in BIOS mode
✓Bluetooth
✓Backlit
✓Rechargeable
✓Full-keyboard
✓Programmable
Hard to find all these features in one keyboard but the Logitech CRAFT fit this bill along with::
Small form factor does not take up space. comfortable on lap.
Sophisticated look, solid feel, and good gravity - not too light
Quiet keyboard with good depress depth/action
Works wirelessly in BIOS mode through Logitech usb pairing - very useful!
USB type C connection (Cable that comes with it is male C to male A though so that it can connect to most pc in use now - not C to C)
I did not buy this keyboard for the dial and, as I have a MX 2S Everywhere mouse, I don't know how much I will use it even as a volume control. The programmable keys are very powerful - assign an app or keystroke assignment. The keyboard can also extend the MX2S Mouse click functions when you simultaneously depress the "fn" key.

NEW CASIO PRW-7000-1BJF PRO TREK Triple Sensor Ver.3 Solar Radio Watch Express/S

A class watch for City, backcountry, sea
The PRW-7000-1B - love the watch. It replaces an Oceanus OCW-T400TD which did not have a second hand. Missed that. I looked at Samsung S3 gear, tried it on (hour min sec hands look better in photos//vids), tried the phone (nice!) but said no. I need a real timepiece I can work with, swim & sail with and don't need think about charging. I also looked at The Pro Tech 8000 (beautiful!). But it came down to functions (with a big nod to tide graph and its needle hand), appearance, and wristband. Here's my review on these features: Functions:: I like the reference altimeter - It takes advantage of the tide graph hand to show you are climbing close to you target height/destination. The 100's of trails here in SF Bay often connect below mt. tops so useful for bike or hiking. I keep it on 100 meter scale. The compass also uses the tide graph hand as your reference bearing needle. It is so quick to use so I use it more often for fun. Also here we hike the bay coast trails on occasion for lunch and if you want to see birds you want to know if its near high tide (draws the birds in). So it is nice just to look at the watch and say lets take a lunch break at 1PM instead of 11AM. I like the sunrise/set and moon age info for amateur astronomy. But if you want precise times to drive/catch a sunset/sunrise with this watch it's a little tricky. SF is 300 miles plus from LAX which watch uses as timezone (right timezone, wrong lat). Sunsets can be off 10min or more. You can input your Lat and Long to correct rise and set times for the day but it is not worth it (because you have to input back to LAX lat long so your radio time sync is correct). Also now that I know this discrepancy, I mentally accommodate the few mins so all is good - no need to smart phone it. Of course you can turn time sync off if you want to drive to a whole slew of sunsets and have accurate rise/set times on your watch. The watch is very accurate over a month's time without syncing everyday. Turning off time sync for a few days may be the thing to do if on a fishing trip. Fishing has a time sensitive 90 minute window (I hear) so being off by 10-20min matters to serious anglers. Again something you can correct for temporarily using the watch or mentally account for. Either way this info is great in network barren back country. The night illumination on this watch is superb and crazy beautiful. I stopped looking at my Oceanus except to read time and even that was hard. The Neo-bright (light activated coating on hand is also attractive and usable. Looks:: The PRW-7000-1B, is a bit more classy than the all black 7000-1A (to me), and is elegant enough to wear on semi-formal occasions (something I would not do with a g-shock). I am not that nerdy. Also right now there is a fashion for larger watches so no problems here. Hence it covers all my activities - actually a deal breaker. Wristband - I am not a fan of metal bands and not a fan of rubber. I used leather until now. The carbon fiber insert resin band is really comfortable, smooth - not sticky. Certainly not classy but the watch face makes up for it. I have not investigated the pins used to connect band to watch but they seam sturdy. Time will tell. I lost a Seiko and almost my Oceanus to bent pins. Note on water sport watches with depth gauges (because I always look). Kind of ignore this feature unless its for snorkeling/fun and remind yourself there are cooler, safer, dedicated watches with computer dive tables, easy to read/operate under water (with or without gloves) and dedicated to receive tank pressure from a transmitter. As a diver (nitrox cert) it is actually this last point that makes me totally happy with this purchase.
