Unless you have a night fire range, you need a laser bore sight for your rifle, a laser target by telluric, and a zeroed mounted optic. On a 25 meter range set the X hairs on the marks on the target 1-300m and adjust the OTAL laser to splash on the center of the target, use the bore sight to keep the weapon from drifting, Do this at dusk, full darkness will cause the splash to wash out the sight picture, this is for a parallel zero, you should use a weapon tri pod to hold the rifle on target, one more thing you need a set of NVGs because this is an IR platform
