Nope, remote didn't work.
I am still unable to program the television using the remote. We have Cox as our cable/internet carrier, and cannot use the Cox remote either. I have a listing of the codes for the different model TVs from Cox with which I can use to program the TV to the Cox settings, however I cannot get to the codes in the Samsung-Emerson remote that I purchased. It did however turn the set on.
I decided to wait until my tech savvy grandson comes to visit to take care of the matter for me. Consequently, the TV is in his room!
