Seller was willing to work out a solution for an item that was different than expected, and described in the pictures. Thanks so much. I appreciate you being flexible and willing to communicate about this so we can come to a solution. Great seller, would recommend buying from this business.

I would have responded sooner but my package didn't come until last night. This was not your fault so I don't blame you. Thank goodness even though the box was really damaged the contents were not. Thanks

Kit Saves the Day-A Summer Story
This is another in the American Girls Short Stories series about Kit Kittredge, a ten-year-old girl living in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is 1934, and Kit and her family are struggling to make ends meet as the Great Depression deepens. When a young hobo named "Texas" Will Shepherd shows up at the Kittredge house, willing to work for food, Kit learns about the hobo life. It sounds interesting to her, but when she goes to a local hobo jungle, she learns just what a hard life some people are living. Once again, this is a great book, an unvarnished look at a hard time in America's history. I like the lessons that the book teaches, and enjoyed Walter Rane's wonderful illustrations. The final chapter of the book is entitled "America Outdoors in 1934," and talks about the hobo life, entertainment and the CCC. This is a great book that my daughter loved, and yours will too.

Clifford's Riddles
To give you a flavor for the humor, here are a few examples: "What is black and white and red all over? Clifford dressed up as a zebra." "What is wet and pink and holds fifty cans of dog food? Clifford's tongue."As you can see, the lines themselves wouldn't crack up too many people. Add the illustrations though, and suddenly the laughter explodes! In the case of our daughter, this led her to constantly seek out similar books at higher and higher reading levels as she got older. Few of the books she read as a child helped establish a long-term reading pattern as well as this one did. After you finish enjoying this story, I suggest that you extend the fun by making up your own Clifford riddles and drawing illustrations for them. Where do you write about Clifford? A big red play pen.

You gotta Love Corduroy!
What to say about Corduroy? I absolutely love it! I have 4 kids and all of my kids loved this book and still do. This book is read several times in my house! Corduroy lived in the toy department in a big store. On the shelf he sat, no one ever seemed to want the little bear in the green overalls. One morning a little girl saw Corduroy and wanted him. Her mother told her that she already spent too much money and that the bear didn't look new and was also missing a button. The girl sadl left without the bear. In the meantime corduroy did not know that he was missing a button and went of in search too find it. So to say he had quite the adventure, but did not find his button. The next day the little girl was the first customer in the store. She had saved enough money in her piggy bank to buy Corduroy herself. She took Corduroy home and sewed on a button right away. Corduroy was so happy to have a new home. This is just one of those books that touches the heart. Kids love it as well as adults. I will have this book in my home for years to come!
