One of the best Intel 478 motherboards . It is the top version of the popular GA-8IPE1000 motherboard . Using the popular Intel® top performing 865PE chipset in addition it has an Integrated T.I. IEEE1394 interface and the Gigabyte patented DualBIOS technology . Supports all the latest Pentium 4 socket 478 processors and gives quite a reasonable performance . There is also support for the newer hard drive interface (SATA) along with the older ATA/IDE interface . A built-in 8-channel audio which gives a high-end sound quality spending a lot for a high-end sound card . Gigabit LAN for faster data transfer . All in all , a good choice for the 478 chips .
