The cliff notes of Bev Doolittle
Bev Doolittle's art is extraordinary. This book is a good over view of her work, her style, and her motivation. A very good reference for anyone who is learning to appreciate her body of work.

Great price, far better construction and features than expected
First, the Fr Easel arrived within days of ordering. I believe it was 4-5 days between order and delivery. I was impressed. The packaging was superb! a foam, form fitting shell in a box to match...very little chance of damage. The fit and finish are better than I expected. Granted, the wood is soft wood but construction revealed a lot of consideration. I believe the easel will last as long as I do. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather so I can get out to paint. In summary, the product is far better than expected. The price, under $50 with promotion price was easily 1/3 of the prices of almost identical easels. I believe the construction will hold up to real use, in-doors and out. I'm very satisfied and have given this site address to several painter wannabes.

A camera for a friend
A friend asked for a camera for Christmas. She wanted a camera like one she had been borrowing from a friend. The closest model we could find was this GE. This model is later than the one she had been using but it was virtually the same. The newer model has a plastic body rather than metal in the older unit. The operation features seemed to be identical. All the comments I've received have been positive...she is enjoying the camera and seems satisfied with the quality.
This model is now out of production so, if it fails, it will have to be replaced with something else. For now, all seems golden.
Good transaction, good value; not too much more you could ask.
