Great replacement tig torch power/water cable
This is a great replacement for the power/water cooler cable. It is slightly bigger. I did not have any problem fitting it on a 20 torch or thru the handle. I can’t tell any difference in the flexibility of the whole cable assembly or its welding properties on 3/16” steel and 1/16” aluminum.
Very happy. Appears to be well made. Time will tell how it lasts.

Hakko FX888D-23BY soldering station
2 of 2 found this helpful This soldering station works as expected. The reviews on it are accurate. The pencil is light, the speed to heat the iron is very quick. I have an old (over 50 year old Weller 120v pencil iron that I bought new and I’ve built many projects with. In the old Heathkit days I built color TV’s, stereos, etc. and a VTVM that I still use. My Weller soldering iron still works well, but I’ll probably never use it again as this Hakko unit heats up fast and has better heat recovery than my old Weller. The cleaning station/ iron holder is great too. I’ve used the analog Weller soldering station units at my last job. They work great too, but they take longer to heat up. No big deal really. But this Hakko is very fast. You are soldering almost as soon as you sit down to the task and pickup the iron. I’m impressed with it all around. The instructions are weird. Kinda Japanese/Engrish engineer/ incomplete thoughts on paper type. You’re not going to figure their settings combinations out without previous knowledge. The instructions won’t get you there. If you go to Hakko’s website and look the unit up, the instructions are the same. But if you look for the videos it shows much better how to set the unit. Especially when you want to use the auto-temp presets. But the videos are labeled weirdly too. You have to watch a couple before you get the one you want. It’s the weirdness I have grown accustomed to from all the Japanese/Chinese import instructions. Kinda like a mind game to sort out what you need and what you don’t. It is something I don’t understand still tho. I’ve met engineers from many different countries that have gone to school in the US and are quite fluent in English.
Overall I rate this as an excellent iron. Only 4 stars because there’s always room for improvement. And the crazy and incomplete instructions.
