Disappointingly poor at raking and lifting - individual items work far better

I expected a product that would be good at raking things up and which would easily lift garden waste to drop in a bin. This product is neither a good rake nor a good garden grabber. it is fiddly and flimsy and I can do a far better job far quicker with a simple leaf rake and garden grabber. Trying to combine two tasks into one product hasn't worked well in this case. I wonder whether it might have a better use as a snow shovel!
