Solid, noticable, and reassuring
This in black or in white is pretty much instantly recognisable by anyone thanks to a healthy marketing campaign. If a would be thief saw this they would know they are being watched and hopefully go elsewhere.
The fitting is as easy as any floodlight. Three wires, you learnt them in school.
The app based setup is as simple as you would expect from Ring. Scan the QR code and follow the steps. Up and running in seconds. I had a software update which meant I couldn't use the camera live for about 5 minutes but I could use the 30s snapshot to angle it right.
Nice and bright but not football stadium bright, so won't get the neighbours angry.
Notifications are instant. Picture quality is top quality as is the sound.
