Wiper motor moving to far..

MK2 octavia rear wiper motor . The problem was , after correctly adjusting motor mount & wiper arm . The wiper arm was moving to far off the window and on to the tailgate . To rectify this problem i had to strip my new wiper motor and my old wiper motor then swap the drive gear . Now it works fine .
