Not exactly XL
1 of 1 found this helpful Excellent quality, and easy to use, as long as you know how to override the ink monitoring system. However... XL capacity? I doubt it. Under similar usage conditions, they last about half the time that the genuine Canon XL version lasts. Not convinced, therefore, that they represent good value for money.

Minor drawbacks
A nice piece of kit which almost doubles the capacity of our trailer. Not that this provides an excuse for filling the trailer to the new top, since raising the centre of gravity of the trailer too much will have stability consequences. But with the proper fitted waterproof cover and with sensible loading, it is a welcome enhancement to our camping and holidaying equipment, as well as making trips to the recycling centre with garden waste more productive.
It is pretty sturdy and it was easy - almost intuitive - to fit. The bolts fit into threaded collars, one of which was defective on ours, so we had to improvise with a smaller nut and bolt. This defect accounts for part of the reason I cannot give the product a five star rating.
The other reason is due to the overall value of the item. Is it good quality? Yes. But is it good value? I'm not so certain. I understand why trailers themselves are expensive, since if the axles and wheels are poorly manufactured, then you have a vehicle that is not roadworthy or, worse, dangerous. But four mesh side panels? They seem expensive for what they are. Especially since manufacturing costs could be reduced by abandoning the silly, flawed threaded collars and providing M8 bolts with locking nuts.
Overall though, would I recommend it? Yes. Not 100%, but yes. It's a good but not perfect tool to do a job.
