The fish don't know
While these flies are not top quality and will not last a long time, they are very workable. The price is so low that long-life should not be an issue. I expect to catch fish with these as well as with the expensive flies. ..

The definitive writing of the beginning of the Western expansion
This is the classic description of the Fur Trade era at its most exciting and fruitful. De Voto places me at the scene and wishing it were true. The pictures alone are worth a lot more than the book costs. Every child in America should be required to read this book in order to know who really made it possible for the Western expansion to take place... not cowboys, sheepmen, and government explorers, but the Mountain Men, from 1807 to 1843, who mapped the West and guided the explorers and immigrants later. It is a great book.
