Perfect for Sous Vide
I have had a FoodSaver machine for many years and would be lost without one. When my previous machine finally died I knew I wanted one that would handle wet foods. Let the shopping begin... I looked at all the machines that said they would work with sous vide cooking and would handle sealing wet foods. I finally selected this FoodSaver.V-4840 and I couldn't be happier. It is easy to clean and so much better to use. Having the bag storage area and the auto seal is just frosting on the cake. I highly recommend this machine for anyone interested in doing sous vide cooking.

Better than twiddling your thumbs!
Have been using one of these in the bathroom for twenty years. Better than twiddling your thumbs! Discovered it through my sister-in-law. So glad to know I can still get a replacement.
