You will love this book!
A compelling, tender and reflective book about Confederate soldiers returing from the Civil War to remake their lives amid the complications of occcupation and devastation. I will never forget the characters or the lyrical descriptions of nature. In my estimation, and I am a great reader, this is one of the best books I've ever read. And did I forget to say it is funny and sad and just pulls you into an amazing reality? It was hard to let the world and the characters go, so I ordered The Black Flower and The Judas Field, which are the first and third members of the trilogy. Thak you, Howard Barr.

If you have read all of Jane Austen over and over...
Try Trollope. He is funny and sly like Austen at her best . And this Barchester DVD has fantastic actors like wonderfully handsome, beautiful voiced Alan Rickman and imperious Geraldine McKewan.
I loved it and the books too.
