It actually works
1 of 1 found this helpful Great product- this has stopped cats from coming into my garden completely. Much more effective than the sonic cat deterrent.
You basically connect it to a garden hose and put in a 9volt Battery and when anything moves past the sensor it turns on the top mounted garden sprinkler for about 5 seconds, then for a few random squirts a few seconds after that to mix the routine up a bit.
I assume the cat/s that have been fouling my garden must have taken a direct hit as a day after installation they completely disappeared. Like a dream come true!!
Sensitivity of the sensor is controlled by a dial on the back so make sure when you install it you can either approach it from the back to turn it off so you can safely walk past it, or turn the water off without being detected.
The only minor downside is after a week or so of use the hose popped off the base connection as a couple of other reviewers have mentioned. This is easily solved by attaching the hose with a hose clip. I think the reason is my hose connector is made by Hozelock like 90% of all garden hose attachments and the receiving connection on the unit is some generic one. If they teamed up with Hozelock this product would be perfect! ....perhaps with the addition of a camera to record the reaction!! ;)

You don’t get the small nuts to connect ...
You don’t get the small nuts to connect the wire onto the glow plug with these. It would be nice to have new ones as you’ll almost certainly lose the old ones when removing.

It is what it is
Fairly well made and works as it was designed to. Only thing is it's very difficult to keep squeezing the pump continually in your hand and after a few litres it's a nightmare.
