camera suffers from significant image quality problems
TRUSTED REVIEWS were pretty brutal about this 2008 era CCD sensor camera when they reviewed it - "If the Panasonic Lumix FX37 was crammed full of any more advanced technology it would glow blue and hum like a lightsabre, but for all its cleverness and sleek style it still suffers from significant image quality problems. The lens simply isn’t as good as the one on the FX35, and the brutal noise reduction system robs images of detail and tonal subtlety"
In practice I agree - near all the old Lumix small sensor didgicams had the same problem with noisy smeared images - which deteriorated even worse above 400ASA sensor setting. For small 6x4 holiday prints they were OK - so if that is all you need then bid away - but for more than that the reviewers comments are spot on.
It is a shame - they were small and cute cameras with batteries good for 200 shots, and on paper should have been brilliant. Panasonic COULD have made them better - for the small sensor Lumix FZ35 model produced fabulous photos.

This version is way less ponderous than the latest "dune" series.
This version is way less ponderous than the latest "dune" series.
Furthermore, the absence of CGI means that the production had to use more imaginative stages, acting and cinematography to tell the story - much of which is a good thing.
The DVD has a good transfer for sound and vision.
At the usual eBay prices, this beats a costly evening in the cinema for the overblown 2020's version

Will a £200 GoPro do better - yes - but not 10x better!
This is a Basic waterproof action camera - it is sold under various brand names including KitVision and Aktivcam.
It lacks some features of the "top spec" GoPro cameras: crucially there is no "anti-shake" control, and no time-lapse function (though I have seen a higher cost KitVision version of this with time-lapse function). It also has no flash - so is no good in low light or deep underwater (it is said to be rated to 30m deep, but after about 6 feet, light typically falls off so that flash is needed for underwater photography).
Once you realise that this camera will not do good videos on the move, because it has no anti-shake control, and you work within those limitations, this is an excellent camera that gets photos that you would not otherwise risk your main camera for. Video shot while moving is good for short atmospheric clips - but the shaking gets wearing and makes viewers a but "seasick" if you shoot for long durations. You could get an electric gimbal mount to "steady cam" this - but then you may as well buy a GoPro.
It is great in waterspouts, snorkelling, swimming pools, trekking in rain and high humidity - I took a KitVision version to the jungles and it performed very well - in 99% humidity, mud, monsoon rain and shallow underwater. Despite the small lens - we got good underwater photos. The family loved it. Treat it carefully when packing away for travel - as the case can scratch. It charges from a standard USB mobile phone charger. Operatiion is easy - young children learned to use it in just a couple of minutes.
The one feature that I miss - is time-lapse. A cheap, simple, waterproof camera that can be set up on a mini tripod and left to do time-lapse in stormy weather would be great and I am looking for one. The crucial controls to look for in this would be to fix exposure and white balance, as well as determining time between shots and length of filming.
