The best
The Drake R7 has the best sound of any advanced analog or digital receiver in its price range that I have ever owned. Its selectivity is nearly as good as the most sophisticated digital receivers, and it is easier to decipher the signal, whether it be cw or voice. I have had it connected to the very same antenna as a modern digital receiver twice its price, and it heard a signal clearly that the digital receiver could not hear at all. The only better receivers would be the commercial receivers that cost up to $9.000 or more. But who listens to a radio so many hours a day that they would want to buy a $9,000 receiver?

Great product
2 of 2 found this helpful The workmanship is wonderful. The felt inside the cover protects the radio from scratches. The fit is secure. The logo identifying the radio is very professional. The price is great, considering how much it will protect an expensive radio. Highly recommend.
