Excellent android phone
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this phone after reading several 'professional' reviews on it and I'm really glad I did. I wanted something that was not expensive but did tasks such as sat nav, and the magic certainly does that and nearly all smartphone tasks very well.
Its one of the most robust phones I've had (which is why you see so many knocked about ones on ebay which are still working)and it is still good looking after years on the market - so good I still can't find something better looking! It has a good 3.2 mp camera in daylight, the headphones supply a good sound from the music player and a ridiculous amount of free apps are available from google market.
What's great about android is the abilty to change roms so easily once you have 'rooted' the phone. Updating to the latest rom, Wi-fi tethering, ability to back up apps etc are worthwhile reasons for rooting but if you just require a reliable smartphone the standard 1.5 cupcake or whatever it comes with when you buy it is perfectly adaquate. The only negatives are the battery which can drain quite rapidly if using certain apps, but I think that is applicable to most smartphones, and it doesn't have flash meaning parts of certain websites don't work.
Even though there may be slightly quicker or bigger screened phones out there now, at the moment I see no reason to change my phone.
